Chassagne-Montrachet Clos Saint-Jean PREMIER CRU

Vineyards situation

This Premier Cru is ideally located on a soft slope, north of the village on deep soils.

This clos is one of the oldest in Burgundy and definitely contributed to the great reputation of Chassagne-Montrachet.

Wine making

The grapes are pressed and then aged in oak barrels (30%new) during 15 to 18 months before bottling.

Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy

The Clos Saint-Jean is ample, generous in the mouth with a long aftertaste. 2015 enabled an ideal ripeness, with a nice freshness which was possible thanks to a mild month of September.

Nice aging potential: 10 years and even more.
