The Côte de Nuits is the northern of the two districts of the Côte d'Or ; stretching from Marsannay to Corgoloin. The AOC Côte de Nuits Villages extend on Brochon, Fixin, Prémeaux Prissey, Comblanchien and Corgoloin.
As a general rule, the wines of the Côte de Nuits, due to the high content of chalky clay in the soils, are somewhat fuller, earthier, more complex and more tannic wines than those of the Côte de Beaune, but there are exceptions to this rule, particularly in the case of Grand and Premier Cru wines.
Louis Jadot Côte de Nuits Villages is blended from wines selected from small quality growers.
Our Côte de Nuits Villages white is vinified and then aged in oak barrels for 10 months before bottling.
Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy
Côte de Nuits Villages from Maison Louis Jadot is a very round wine, developing aromas of peach, apricot flesh and spices hints... It will be a very delicate wine on the palate with a good structure and balance.
This wine is perfect with white meat in creamy sauce and traditional cheeses.
Its fermentation in oak barrels will help this wine to easily age 5-7 years in good conditions of temperature and humidity.
