This wine is a blend from various grapes produced in the Louis Jadot own vineyards.
This Couvent des Jacobins "cuvée" comes from a balanced blend of Côte d'Or and Côte Chalonnaise grapes.
Harvested by hand, the grapes are destemmed and then fermented during 2 weeks in open vats.
The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months before bottling.
Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy
This Bourgogne is very representative of the Pinot Noir grape with its typical aromas of red berries when young. After some years of aging nice aromas of spicies and leather come out slowly..
It will be an ideal companion to red meat but also to cold dishes but also to some spicy world food.
This wine has a very good aging potential: 10 years and even more if it is stored in good conditions.
