Characteristics
Soils are made of chalk and clay. Vineyards are exposed South/ south-west on nice slopes, well drained, easy to warm up.
Wine making
The Maranges Blanc is fermented and then aged in oak barrels during 12 months before bottling.
Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy
This wine has a very nice yellow gold colour with green tints. Its nose develops fresh white flesh fruits and toasted aromas. Nice attack in the mouth, full wine, nicely structured, good retro-olfaction.
Will beautifully match with fishes freshly catch, Noix de Saint Jacques and scallops.
Preservation
Maranges wines are structured to mature slowly. A classic year will harmoniously develop during 5-10 years in good conditions of temperature and humidity.
