Vineyards situation
Saint Véran is a small commune in the Mâconnais region. To the north are the Pouilly-Fuissé, Pouilly-Loché and Pouilly-Vinzelles appellations. The Domaine de Curis vineyards are adjacent to Pouilly Fuissé.
Characteristics
The vineyards of Domaine de Curis are planted predominantly in very stony, limestone soils.
Chardonnay is the only grape variety used for the white wines.
Wine making
Saint Véran Domaine de Curis is vinified in stainless steel tanks and bottled in spring in order to keep all its freshness and fruitiness.
Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy
This wine is very dry, delicate and youthful, pale straw-gold in colour and with a subtle, nutty flavour which lends the wine a soft roundness.
It is refreshing as an aperitive. It will also be a good partner for hors d'oeuvre, delicately flavoured charcuteries, oysters, fish, snails and andouillettes.
Preservation
Saint-Véran Domaine de Curis wine will be at its best in 3 to 5 years.
