Vineyards situation

The commune of Savigny les Beaune is located above and between Aloxe Corton and Pernand Vergelesses, in the north of the Côte de Beaune.

Characteristics

The vineyard is located Est/South East on a hill (betwwen 220 and 360 m high). The soil is calcareous, stony, light and also sandy.

Wine making

This wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks during 3 to 4 weeks and then aged in oak barrels for about 15 months.

Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy

Its colour is quite intense. The wine is fullbodied, silky and very fruity when young. It is the perfect companion to red meat, game and most French cheese.

Preservation

This wine can easily be kept 8 to 12 years depending on the vintage and teh cellar conditions.
